Moissanite certification, is it necessary?
Each and every Moissanite Manufacturer provides their own certification for your "piece of mind". So what exactly does this in-house certification certify? We all know that Moissanite is a synthetic gemstone manufactured in state-of-the-art facilities around the globe. So why would you want certification (or do you need it) for a synthetic gemstone?
The sole purpose of our CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY CARD is to guarantee:
- You have received a genuine Timeless Moissanite™ and not a simulant such as cubic zirconia, corundum, nano gem or crystal.
- That your moissanite gemstone has passed our strict quality inspection before it was shipped to you.
- The stone you receive is actually the stone you paid for. Physical properties of weight, dimensions, colour and clarity are recorded and kept on file with a unique reference number.
- The optical properties like fire, brilliance, luster, polish and light performance are flawless and meet our high standards.
There are no gemstones available on the market today (aside of moissanite) that are sold with a warranty - including diamonds. Since moissanite is just like diamonds, sapphires and other gemstones comprised of a specific chemical structure that doesn't alter by exposure to external factors, we believe it should require no warranty either.
However, it would be remiss of us to lose a client who is insistent about a Moissanite warranty, so we provide one for piece of mind.
The sole purpose of our WARRANTY is to guarantee that our gems will maintain their superior optical properties for as long as you own them. They will not change colour, become dull or lose their luster and brilliance during yours or their lifetime.
More importantly, Our WARRANTY does not cover damage as the result of:
- Physical damage such as chipping, breaking, scratching, abrasions as a result of misuse, abuse and improper handling of the gemstone.
- Treatments and alterations performed by jewellers while setting your gem in piece of jewellery
